After several trips to Colorado and visiting the homes of Sheryl's Mother, Father, Maternal Grandparents and Great Grandparents in the cities of Denver and Colorado Springs the Thompson's fell in love with the beauty and friendliness of Colorado and decided to permanently make Colorado home.  

 

We plan on continuing our expertise and passion in serving the needs of residents with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias at Assured Assisted Living with the same dedication of service and quality of care as we have in the past.

 

In addition to their previous experience, our Care Specialists recieve initial training that includes a specialized curriculum leading to national recognition as a Certified Memory Impairment Specialist (CMIS).

 

The core of the program consists of five modules:

Their professional skills are also continually enhanced through our own extensive series of dementia-specific mini-modules exclusive to Assured Assisted Living. The continual training program facilitate the staff by acquiring a whole bank of ideas and successful strategies for improving the quality of care they provide for individuals with memory loss.

 

In addition, Sheryl will also be managing the day to day operations of the facilities by providing ongoing monitoring of our residents and supportive oversight to our Care Specialists. This Registered Nurse involvement means that Assured Assisted Living staff get the guidance they need to safely assist our residents who live with chronic illness, disability or memory loss.
